UY108 the Future of YOGA!

So, I'm planning on going to spend some time in a Buddhist monastery, just for the experience, and I have a question. Are there different kinds of Buddhism? If so, could you describe them for me? I want to be informed when I make my decision on where to go, but I'm having trouble finding any information that I can understand. Thanks
